The Community Informatics Institute (CCI) was formed in 2023 by a Board of Directors consisting of women with advanced degrees in rural Dorchester County Maryland who are experiencing the “digital divide” (and other divides) between urban and rural areas first-hand.
We believe that community informatics (the use of data, information, communication, and technology) provides useful tools to help communities come together to achieve ambitious shared goals.
